Lima, 1985. Bachelor of Fine and Visual Arts from ENSABAP, class of 2015. Cristóbal Cruz has specialized in contemporary art and new media, exploring video art, photography, performance, installation, and AI-driven animation. Throughout his education, film has been a steady thread in his artistic journey.
His work has been featured in several selected exhibitions, including the 2016 interdisciplinary project “The Divided Subject and the Holographic Universe”, the 2018 poetic and performative documentary “Invisible to the Eyes”, and the 2021 follow-up documentary “Beridicia.”
He is currently developing a new audiovisual proposal titled “Xhizito: Ambiguous Options and Twisted Reflections,” a project awarded funding by DAFO in 2023.
