Marco Chavarría, born in Barcelona in 2002, is a director and screenwriter with a degree in Audiovisual Communication in Digital Media from the Universidad Privada del Norte. His work combines screenwriting, visual creation, and cartoon drawing. His debut feature, "Jack Lee" (2022), a dystopian noir co-directed with Hilda Rodríguez, was part of the National Fiction Competition at the 2nd Áncash Film Festival. He subsequently directed "El fotoperiodista" (2022), a dramatic thriller that participated in the 16th Cortos de Vista Short Film Festival and the 2nd Descubierto Festival. In 2023, he ventured into documentary filmmaking with "El rostro inconcebible," about the Moche culture, co-directed with Briviam Sánchez and selected for the 1st Sullana Short Film Festival. In the middle of that year, he started "Barry Underground," a personal project inspired by the death of his uncle and some dreams he had, which he was able to complete at the end of 2024 with music by Pablo Castillo Yache.
