The film portrays the surge of independence and determination to work out their own future which has permeated every phase of national life for this one-fourth of the world’s population, and which is bringing advances in health and living standards. The assistance of the United Nations in providing the knowledge and the plans with which to develop education, social welfare, agriculture and industry is shown.
