The film's heroes, children of Russian emigrants and witnesses of history, Professor Egor Reznikov of the University of Paris and Professor Alexei Sossinsky of the Independent University of Moscow (IUM), lead the viewer along the traces of the Resistance on the French island of Oléron after 77 years.
