"Ordinary life. An intimate exploration of family and place."
FACES is a short film and biography of the filmmaker’s community. The film spends
the season of summer in his shoes, following his loved ones as they walk
through their day to day lives in Delaware, Philadelphia, Saint Louis and Los
Angeles. The vignettes bleed into each other through short sequences of travel.
The audio includes spatial sound, tokens of advice, familial banter, words of
affinity, moments of song, silence and laughter. The film invites folk to rejoice in
the vulnerable and beautiful representation of our people. FACES is a
meditation on community.
